Die niederländische Saxophonistin Tineke Postma ist einer der Rising Stars am Saxophon (und das sogar wörtlich, wie der Downbeat Critics Poll 2019 zeigt). Seit 2003 bespielt sie Bühnen überall auf der Welt und ist aus der Jazz-Szene nicht mehr wegzudenken. Die Musik des heutigen Abends stammt von ihrem Album Aria, das sie mit einer hochkarätig besetzten Rhythmusgruppe mit Stars wie Ben Monder und Robert Landfermann aufgenommen hat. Wir freuen uns auf einen denkwürdigen Abend mit einer absoluten Ausnahmemusikerin und fantastischen Band.

Tineke Postma ist einer der funkelndsten Sterne am europäischen Jazzhimmel. Das Ausnahmetalent tourt international mit den gefragtesten Musikern und ihre Arbeiten als Leaderin wurden von Down Beat, Rolling Stone oder Jazzthetik herausragend gut bewertet. Sie teilte Bühne und Aufnahmestudio mit Kenny Barron, Herbie Hancock, Dan Weiss, Geri Allen, Terri Lyne Carrington, Dianne Reeves und vielen mehr. Ihr Spiel ist auf zwei Grammy-prämierten Alben zu hören und wurde mit zahlreichen Individualpreisen wie dem Jazz Juan Revelations Award, dem Buma Boy Edgar Award oder dem Rising Star des Down-Beat-Magazins 2019 ausgezeichnet.

David Dorůžka gilt als eier der führenden europäischen Jazzgitarristen der neueren Generation. Er stammt aus einer musikalischen Familie und zeigte schon früh ein besonderes Talent, was 1995 mit dem dem renommierten Preis der tschechischen Jazzakademie honoriert wurde. Schon zwei Jahre später spielte er auf dem Montreux Jazz Festival. Seine Studien vertiefte er am berühmt-berüchtigten Berklee College of Music wo er unter anderem von Koryphäen wie Pat Metheny oder Herbie Hancock Unterricht erhioelt. Er spielt regelmäßig mit MusikerInnen wie Christian McBride, Jorge Rossy, Josefine Lindstrand und vielen mehr.

Robert Landfermann ist einer der profiliertesten deutschen Jazzbassisten und einer der Fackelträger einer neuen Generation an MusikerInnen, die zwischen Jazz, Klassik, populärer Musik und vielen Genres mehr eine künstlerische und gestaltungstechnische Freiheit erreicht haben, die Ihresgleichen sucht. Er spielte im Laufe seiner Karriere mit John Scofield, Lee Konitz, Joachim Kühn, Chris Potter, Mark Turner, Richie Beirach, der WDR Bigband und unzähligen mehr. Für sein Schaffen erhielt er ebenfalls zahlreiche Preise wie bspw. den Deutschen Jazzpreis 2021 und 2022, den SWR- und den WDR Jazzpreis.

Tristan Renfrow steht in Tineke Postmas Telefonbuch in der Kategorie Drummer derzeit an allererster Stelle. Das Multitalent ist ebenfalls Komponist und Sound-Designer, das sich trotz vollem Tourenkalender auch noch mit den Möglichkeiten elektronischer Klangerzeugung auseinander setzt. Er hat unter anderem mit Matt Adomeit, Tristan Carter, Nick Dunston, Ben Monder und vielen Stars der niederländischen Szene gearbeitet.

She has been performing on stages all over the world since 2003 and has become an integral part of the jazz scene. Tonight's music comes from her album Aria, which she recorded with a top-class rhythm section featuring stars such as Ben Monder and Robert Landfermann. David Doruzka is regarded as one of the leading European jazz guitarists of the new generation. He comes from a musical family and showed a special talent at an early age, which was honored in 1995 with the prestigious prize of the Czech Jazz Academy. Just two years later, he played at the Montreux Jazz Festival. He furthered his studies at the notorious Berklee College of Music, where he was taught by luminaries such as Pat Metheny and Herbie Hancock. He regularly plays with musicians such as Christian McBride, Jorge Rossy, Josefine Lindstrand and many more.

Robert Landfermann is one of the most distinguished German jazz bassists and one of the torchbearers of a new generation of musicians who have achieved an unparalleled artistic and creative freedom between jazz, classical, popular music and many other genres. In the course of his career he has played with John Scofield, Lee Konitz, Joachim Kühn, Chris Potter, Mark Turner, Richie Beirach, the WDR Bigband and countless others. He has also received numerous awards for his work, such as the German Jazz Prize 2021 and 2022, the SWR and the WDR Jazz Prize.

Tristan Renfrow is currently at the top of Tineke Postma's phone book in the drummer category. The multi-talented drummer is also a composer and sound designer who, despite a busy touring schedule, is still exploring the possibilities of electronic sound generation. He has worked with Matt Adomeit, Tristan Carter, Nick Dunston, Ben Monder and many stars of the Dutch scene.
