Er gehört weit über Berlin hinaus zu den gefragtesten und angesagtesten Schlagzeugern der Szene und war schon oft bei uns im Club als Sideman fantastischer Acts wie Omer Klein zu Gast. Nun präsentiert der höchst produktive Bresler mit seinem Trio sein Februar 2025 erschienenes Album Tide and Time; mit Musik voller Virtuosität, Spielfreude im Spannungsfeld zwischen tief verwurzelter Jazztradition und Anleihen an west- und ostafrikanische Rhythmik. Der Schlagzeuger Amir Bresler kam im Alter von 15 Jahren zum ersten Mal mit Jazzmusik in Berührung, als er sich für das Jazzprogramm an der Thelma-Yellin National High School of the Arts in Givataim, Israel, registrierte, die er mit Auszeichnung abschloss. In den letzten Jahren hat sich Amir als einer der gefragtesten israelischen Schlagzeuger etabliert, trat auch Gastmusikern wie Sam Yahel, Joel Fraham, Mark Turner, Kirk Lightsay und Dwayne Bruno auf. Darüber hinaus spielt Amir mit verschiedenen israelischen Künstlern, darunter Avishai Cohen, Daniel Zamir, Kutiman, Gilad Hekselman, Nitai Hershkovits, Shai Maestro, Yotam Silberstein, Amos Hoffman, Gilad Abro, um nur einige zu nennen.

Der slowenische Vibraphonist und Komponist Vid Jamnik kam im Alter von elf Jahren erstmals mit Jazz in Berührung, unter der Mentorschaft des legendären jugoslawischen Vibraphonisten Boško Petrović. Schon bald spielte er mit vielen namhaften Musiker:innen und Ensembles, darunter Jimmy Cobb, John Riley, Georgie Fame, Jim Rotondi, Stefan Milenkovich, Duško Gojković und dem JM Jazz World Orchestra unter der Leitung von Luis Bonilla.

Haggai Cohen-Milo wurde in Israel geboren und ist bekannt für seine Arbeit als Kontrabassist, Komponist und Performance-Künstler. Seit mehr als zehn Jahren entwickelt er in Zusammenarbeit mit Tänzern und Choreographen eine eigene Methode, die als Bindeglied zwischen Klang, Bewegung und Bildender Kunst in der Performancekunst wirkt. Haggai Cohen-Milo tritt vor Publikum auf, arbeitet aber ebenso im Tonstudio und erscheint auf über 30 Alben für Label wie der Warner Music Group, Fresh Sound Records oder Tzadik. 2017 zog der Musiker nach Berlin, ein Jahr später erhielt er zusammen mit dem israelischen Omer Klein Trio den Echo in der Kategorie »Ensemble National«.

Amir Bresler – A drummer of immense skill, Amir began his jazz journey at the age of 15, excelling in the jazz program at the Thelma-Yellin National High School of the Arts in Israel. Now one of the most in-demand drummers in the Israeli jazz scene, Amir has performed with luminaries such as Sam Yahel, Joel Frahm, Mark Turner, and Dwayne Burno. His collaborations span a wide spectrum of Israeli artists, including Avishai Cohen, Daniel Zamir, Kutiman, Gilad Hekselman, Shai Maestro, and Nitai Hershkovits, to name a few.

Slovenian vibraphonist and composer Vid Jamnik first encountered jazz at age 11, under the
mentorship of the legendary Yugoslav vibraphonist Boško Petrović. He would soon perform
with many renowned musicians and ensembles, including Jimmy Cobb, John Riley, Georgie
Fame, Jim Rotondi, Stefan Milenkovich, Dusko Goykovich, and the JM Jazz World Orchestra
under the direction of Luis Bonilla.

Haggai Cohen-Milo was born in Israel and is known for his work as a double bassist, composer and performance artist. For more than ten years he has been developing his own method in collaboration with dancers and choreographers, which acts as a link between sound, movement and visual art in performance art. Haggai Cohen-Milo performs in front of audiences, but also works in the recording studio and appears on over 30 albums for labels such as Warner Music Group, Fresh Sound Records or Tzadik. In 2017, the musician moved to Berlin, and a year later he received the Echo in the category "Ensemble National" together with the Israeli Omer Klein Trio.
