Roman Ott ist ein Ausnahmetalent am Saxofon, sein unverwechselbar eigener Sound und sein Saxofonspiel muss man selbst erleben, um die «good old magic» zu spüren. Er wird songs seines neuen Albums «hey ro» vorstellen, dass auf dem international renommierten Label Fresh Sound erschienen ist. Eingeladen hat er dafür eine illustre All-Star-Band gespickt mit den besten Jazzern der Berliner Szene!

Roman Ott ist einer der herausragenden Saxophonisten in Deutschland. Sein eigener Sound und Kompositionsstil lassen ihn herausstechen. Er studierte Jazz-Saxophon, Klavier, Komposition, Gehörbildung und Arrangement an der Folkwang Hochschule Essen und der UdK Berlin. In Maryland (USA) gewann er den „Outstanding Solo Award“ für sein Saxophon-Spiel. Als Bandleader bespielt er mit seinem Quartett internationale Jazzclubs und Festivals. Zudem arbeitet Ott als musikalischer Leiter, Komponist, Arrangeur und Schauspieler an der Berliner Volksbühne, dem Hau 1 und der Vagantenbühne, u.a. mit Regisseur*innen wie R. Pollesch, C. Groß, U. Schall und C. Mylord.

Benjamin ‘Benny’ Lackner ist ein deutsch-amerikanischer Jazzmusiker (Klavier, Keyboards, Komposition). Lackner wuchs in Berlin und Kalifornien auf, wo er am California Institute of Arts studierte; darauf folgte Unterricht bei seinem “Mentor” Brad Mehldau. Mit 30 Jahren kehrte er zurück nach Berlin. Mit seinem seit 2002 bestehenden Trio und weiteren Formationen spielte er mehrere Alben ein und hat überall auf der Welt auf großen Festival wie dem Montreux Jazz Festival performt. Seit 2022 sind seine Alben Teil des Katalogs von ECM.

Lars Gühlcke begann mit der Gitarre und studierte dann Kontrabass in Amsterdam und Hilversum. Seit 1996 ist er festes Mitglied des Ed Kröger Quartetts mit der Gastsolistin Romy Camerun. Nach einem Aufenthalt in New York City und zahlreichen Konzerten im In- und Ausland lebt er seit 2000 in Berlin und arbeitet als freischaffender Musiker. Er trat mehrfach in Fernsehen und Rundfunk auf.

Heinrich Köbberling ist Schlagzeuger und Komponist. 2019 beginnt er seine Tätigkeit als Prof. für Jazz/Schlagzeug und Ensemble am Jazz Institut Berlin, nachdem er 18 Jahre an der Hochschule für Musik und Theater „Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy“ Leipzig unterrichtet hat.
Durch die langjährige Arbeit mit international anerkannten Künstlern wie z.B. Ernie Watts, Julia Hülsmann und eigenen Formationen, verfügt er über Erfahrungen im nationalen und internationalen Konzertleben. Auch bei der Zusammenarbeit mit profilierten Labels wie Sony, Universal und ECM als Musiker und Produzent ist es ihm möglich, eigene Ideen und Produktionsweisen umzusetzen. Nach dem Studium in Hamburg und am Mannes College of Music (New School) verbrachte er viele Jahre als freier Musiker in New York.

Roman Ott is one of the outstanding saxophonists in Germany. His own sound and compositional style make him stand out. He studied jazz saxophone, piano, composition, ear training and arrangement at the Folkwang Hochschule Essen and the UdK Berlin. In Maryland (USA) he won the "Outstanding Solo Award" for his saxophone playing. As a bandleader he plays with his quartet in international jazz clubs and festivals. Benjamin ‘Benny’ Lackner is a German-American jazz musician (piano, keyboards, composition). Since 2002, Lackner has recorded several albums with his trio and other ensembles. He has performed at major festivals worldwide, including the Montreux Jazz Festival. Lars Gühlcke started with the guitar and then studied double bass in Amsterdam and Hilversum. Since 1996 he has been a permanent member of the Ed Kröger Quartet with guest soloist Romy Camerun. After a stay in New York City and numerous concerts in Germany and abroad, he has lived in Berlin since 2000 and works as a freelance musician. He has appeared several times on television and radio.

Heinrich Köbberling is a drummer and composer. In 2019 he begins his work as a prof. for jazz/percussion and ensemble at the Jazz Institute Berlin, after 18 years of teaching at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" Leipzig.Through many years of work with internationally recognized artists such as Ernie Watts, Julia Hülsmann and his own formations, he has experience in national and international concert life. He is also able to implement his own ideas and production methods when working with high-profile labels such as Sony, Universal and ECM as a musician and producer. After studying in Hamburg and at the Mannes College of Music (New School), he spent many years as a freelance musician in New York.
