Heute abend trifft Moore mit Joris Dudli auf einen alten Weggefährten; seitdem warten sie auf eine Gelegenheit wieder miteinander zu spielen. Ralph Moore ist ein US-Amerikanischer Saxophonist (Tenor/Sopran) in der Hardbop-Tradition. Er studierte am Berklee-College of Music, wobei nicht klar ist ob nicht sein Engagement bei Horace Silver seine tatsächliche Alma Mater ist. Ab den späten 1970er Jahren spielte sich Moore in die höchsten Sphären des traditionellen groovenden Jazz und durfte dabei mit den größten lebenden Musikern spielen: Roy Haynes, Freddie Hubbard, Dizzy Gillespie, Kenny Barron, Ray Brown, J.J. Johnson, Roy Hargrove sind dabei nur ein kleiner Teil seiner Mitspieler. Weiterhin ist er über lange Jahre Mitglied der “Tonight Show” - Band gewesen und hat für Top-Labels wie Criss Cross, Savoy oder Concorde aufgenommen.

Martin Sasse aus Köln gehört seit den 1990er Jahren zu den europaweit führenden Pianisten und arbeitete als Leader und Sideman mit den wichtigsten Solisten aus den USA und Europa wie Al Foster, den New York Voices, Jimmy Cobb, Steve Grossman, Peter Bernstein, Vincent Herring, Roberta Gambarini, Till Brönner, Dick Oatts, Dennis Mackrel, Philip Catherine, Dusko Goykovich, Steve Grossman, Scott Hamilton, Tony Lakatos und vielen mehr. Außerdem ist er auch als Jazzpädagoge tätig und hat dutzende junge Pianisten musikalisch wie persönlich geprägt und ausgebildet.

Ignasi Gonzalez ist ein spanischer Kontrabassist. Sein Spiel zeichnet sich besonders durch ein perfektes Formgefühl und seine Ruhe aus, ohne jemals seine timingtechnische Präzision zu verlieren. Er gilt als Geheimtipp und ist vor allen Dingen bei Musikerkollegen für sein Spiel geschätzt. Seine wohl bekannteste Zusammenarbeit ist die mit dem US-amerikanischen Saxophonisten Scott Hamilton, er spielt als gefragter Sideman allerdings mit zahllosen weiteren Topmusikern.

Joris Dudli ist ein schweizerischer Jazz-Schlagzeuger, der zu den erfolgreichsten seiner Zunft gezählt wird. Ab dem siebzehnten Lebensjahr arbeitete er als Studiomusiker und wurde später von 1979 bis 1985 festes Mitglied des Vienna Art Orchestra sowie des Art Farmer Quintets. Nach seinem Umzug in die USA spielte und nahm er mit vielen der größten Jazzmusiker der Welt auf: The Zawinul Syndicate, Benny Golson, Curtis Fuller, Johnny Griffin, Mulgrew Miller, Clifford Jordan, Joe Lovano, Joe Henderson, Harold Mabern, Sonny Fortune und vielen weiteren mehr.

Ralph Moore has been in the top league of the US jazz world for decades. He has played with the most influential figures and recorded for the hippest labels. Tonight, Moore meets up with Joris Dudli, an old companion; they have been waiting for an opportunity to play together again ever since. The result is a quartet tailor-made for Ralph with an incredibly groovy rhythm section. You can look forward to original compositions, classics from the Great American Songbook and more. Ralph Moore is a US-American saxophonist (tenor/soprano) in the hard bop tradition. He studied at the Berklee College of Music, although it is not clear whether his engagement with Horace Silver is his real alma mater. From the late 1970s onwards, Moore played his way into the highest spheres of traditional grooving jazz and was able to play with the greatest living musicians: Roy Haynes, Freddie Hubbard, Dizzy Gillespie, Kenny Barron, Ray Brown, J.J. Johnson, Roy Hargrove are only a small part of his fellow players. He was also a member of the "Tonight Show" band for many years and has recorded for top labels such as Criss Cross, Savoy and Concorde.

Ignasi Gonzalez is a Spanish double bass player. His playing is characterized by a perfect sense of form and his calmness, without ever losing his timing precision. He is considered an insider tip and is particularly appreciated by fellow musicians for his playing. His best-known collaboration is probably with the US saxophonist Scott Hamilton, but he also plays as a sought-after sideman with countless other top musicians.

Joris Dudli is a Swiss jazz drummer who is counted among the most successful of his guild. From the age of seventeen he worked as a studio musician and later became a permanent member of the Vienna Art Orchestra from 1979 to 1985, as well as the Art Farmer Quintet. After moving to the United States, he played and recorded with many of the world's greatest jazz musicians: The Zawinul Syndicate, Benny Golson, Curtis Fuller, Johnny Griffin, Mulgrew Miller, Clifford Jordan, Joe Lovano, Joe Henderson, Harold Mabern, Sonny Fortune and many more.
