Phillip Dornbusch’s Projektor is hailed by the FAZ as the "youthful high-flyers of the German scene." Following their previous album’s nomination for "Album of the Year" at the German Jazz Prize, the band now releases their third album, "Revolt," which delves into protest songs that symbolize the fight for freedom. Music can become dangerous for dictatorships; if it weren’t, it wouldn’t be banned so often. With their distinctive band sound, straddling contemporary jazz and avant-garde, the quintet processes and distorts musical elements from various protest songs, presenting fresh and energetic music that shimmers, grooves, and moves.

Adam Nussbaum is a Grammy-winning American jazz drummer who has shaped the jazz world over the past decades like no other. He received early piano lessons, played bass and saxophone as a teenager, but discovered drums as the musical love of his life. At 20, he moved to New York and immersed himself in the city’s jazz scene. In the 1970s, he played with Sonny Rollins and embarked on a legendary European tour with John Scofield and Richie Beirach. Other notable names in his career include Steve Swallow, Gil Evans, Stan Getz, Michael and Randy Brecker, Kenny Wheeler, Jerry Bergonzi, and many more. Equally at home in straight-ahead jazz and more modern, open styles, Adam always infuses his performances with his distinctive personal touch. In addition to his work as a "working musician," Adam teaches at New York University, the New School, and conducts courses worldwide.

According to BR-Klassik, Phillip Dornbusch is one of the "brightest minds of the under-30 jazz generation." In addition to his own band, Phillip is active as a sideman in various projects and has already worked with artists such as Chris Cheek, James Maddren, Lucia Cadotsch, and Wanja Slavin.

Voted "Estonia's Musician of the Year" in 2022, Kirke Karja is one of the most sought-after pianists in Europe's contemporary jazz scene. With her trio "Karja / Renard / Wandinger," she has already played at renowned festivals such as Jazzfest Berlin.

The award-winning guitarist Johannes Mann was a scholarship holder at the "Betty Carter Jazz Ahead" workshop in Washington D.C., where he worked with Dee Dee Bridgewater, Jason Moran, and Greg Hutchinson, among others. He recently released his debut album "Sun Arc."

The Cologne-based bassist and composer Roger Kintopf enriches the German music scene not only as a sideman but also as the bandleader of his quartet "Structucture." Roger has been awarded numerous prizes, such as the Grand Prix d'Avignon, and has played with musicians like Christian Lillinger, Evan Parker, and Kit Downes.

Philip Adrian Dornbusch studied with John Hollenbeck and Jim Black, among others, and has worked with artists such as Uli Kempendorff, Ronny Graupe, and Jonas Westergaard. With the band "Rosemarine," he released the self-titled debut album in 2019 on the renowned label Ropeadope (Christian Scott, Christian McBride).
