Jeremy Pelt hat sich zu einem der herausragenden jungen Trompeter in der Welt des Jazz entwickelt. Schon früh knüpfte er eine Verbindung zur Mingus Big Band. Im Laufe seiner Karriere baute Pelt diese und viele andere Beziehungen aus, die schließlich zur Zusammenarbeit mit einigen der größten Meister des Genres führten. Zu diesen Projekten gehören Auftritte und Aufnahmen mit Cliff Barbaro, Keter Betts, Bobby "Blue" Bland, Ravi Coltrane, Frank Foster, Winard Harper, Jimmy Heath, Vincent Herring, John Hicks, Charli Persip, Ralph Peterson, Lonnie Plaxico, Bobby Short, Cedar Walton, Frank Wess, Nancy Wilson und The Skatalites, um nur einige zu nennen.

Pelt tritt häufig mit so namhaften Ensembles wie der Roy Hargrove Big Band, dem Village Vanguard Orchestra und der Duke Ellington Big Band auf und ist Mitglied des Lewis Nash Septet und der Cannonball Adderley Legacy Band featuring Louis Hayes. Als Leader hat Pelt zehn Alben aufgenommen und ist mit seinen verschiedenen Ensembles weltweit auf Tournee gegangen, wobei er auf vielen großen Jazzfestivals und in vielen Konzertsälen aufgetreten ist.

Pelts Aufnahmen und Auftritte haben ihm sowohl national als auch international die Anerkennung der Kritiker eingebracht. Der legendäre Jazzautor und -produzent Nat Hentoff hat ihn im Wall Street Journal vorgestellt, und das Downbeat Magazine und die Jazz Journalist Association haben ihn fünf Jahre in Folge zum Rising Star auf der Trompete gewählt. Pelt tourt derzeit durch die Vereinigten Staaten und Europa, um seine neueste Veröffentlichung "Soundtrack" zu unterstützen.

Jeremy Pelt has become one of the preeminent young trumpeters within the world of jazz. Forging a bond with the Mingus Big Band very early on, as his career progressed, Pelt built upon these relationships and many others which eventually lead to collaborations with some of the genre's greatest masters.
