Die italienische Jazzpianistin und -Sängerin Francesca Tandoi wird von Kritikern und Fachkollegen als aufstrebender Jazzstar und eines der faszinierendsten jungen Talente der internationalen Jazzszene überhaupt gefeiert. In nur wenigen Jahren erlangte sie internationale Anerkennung als erstklassige Pianistin und Sängerin. Live wie im Studio konnte sie bisher mit einigen der besten Jazzmusiker der Welt aufnahm. Dazu gehören Saxophonlegende Scott Hamilton, mit dem sie mehrere Alben aufnahm, Daryll Hall und auch Michael League (Snarky Puppy).

Sie tourte ausgiebig und trat in einigen der bedeutendsten Theatern, Jazzfestivals und Clubs der Welt auf, darunter dem North Sea Jazz Festival, dem Umbria Jazz, dem Cork Jazz, der Bösendorfer Gala, dem Breda Jazz Festival, dem Amsterdam Arena Stadium, der Piano City Madrid und Sumatra Jazz Festival, Tokio Hakuju Concert Hall, Moskauer Gorkiy Park Sommerfestival, Tver Philharmonic Hall, Stara Zagora Jazz Festival und vielen mehr in den USA, Japan, Indonesien, Indien, Südafrika, Russland und überall in Europa.

Pianolegende Monty Alexander war von ihrem Debütalbum geradezu begeistert. Alexander sagte:

„Francesca Tandoi ist eine überaus geschmackvolle Swing-Pianistin. Ihr Gesang ist exquisit, ihre Kompositionen melodisch und einprägsam und ihre Arrangements äußerst durchdacht.“

Sie tritt in mehr als 20 Aufnahmen als Sidewoman auf, das Klaviertrio ist aber definitiv ihre Lieblingsbesetzung. Als Leiterin ihres eigenen Trios nahm sie insgesamt sechs Alben auf.

Am Bass der in den Niederlanden lebende brasilianische Kontrabassist Matheus Nicolaiewsky, der zu den besten in Europa wirkenden Kontrabassisten gehört und der Rotterdamer Ausnahmeschlagzeuger Sander Smeets, der in den USA studierte und eine der derzeit prägenden Figuren der niederländischen Szene ist.

Italian jazz pianist and singer Francesca Tandoi is celebrated by critics and peers as an up-and-coming jazz star and one of the most fascinating young talents on the international jazz scene. In just a few years, she has gained international recognition as a first-class pianist and singer. She has recorded live and in the studio with some of the best jazz musicians in the world. These include saxophone legend Scott Hamilton, with whom she recorded several albums, Daryll Hall and Michael League (Snarky Puppy).

She appears in more than 20 recordings as a sidewoman, but the piano trio is definitely her favorite line-up. As leader of her own trio, she has recorded a total of six albums.
