Sundays at the Zig Zag is the closest you will get to the atmosphere, energy and ambience of the New York Jazz revolution taking place in the 30´s- 50´s. The evening features mainly young, talented jazz musicians who have contributed to the jazz boom in Berlin over the past decade. It’s intended for those of you who can appreciate the rare and fine quality of purely acoustic and unamplified music. You'll feel like you're sharing the stage with musicians who include some of the city's best and finest award-winning young talents!

This group is the result of meeting of some of the finest musicians of Berlin and Paris scenes, brought together by their love for New Orleans and its rich musical tradition.
You’ll get the chance to hear the band’s reconstruction and investigation of the roots of the oldest jazz, inspired by the music of the legends such as King Oliver, Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton and many others.

ENTRANCE FEES
One of the reasons that makes this evening so unique is that it is the first and only jazz club in the world that manages to finance world class events through a crowd funding concept. How do we do it? Its quite simple… during the break of the concert we make an announcement regarding the collection for the evening. We inform our customers that a fee of around 15€ per person will allow us to fairly compensate the musicians. Some people give more and some give less… and that´s ok… we ´ve already successfully promoted hundreds of concerts like this!!!
