DORREY L. LYLES ist ohne Frage eine der beeindruckendsten und großartigsten Soul-Sängerinnen. Sie ist nicht nur für ihre außergewöhnliche und kraftvolle Stimme bekannt, sondern auch für die authentische und leidenschaftliche Art und Weise, auf die sie es schafft, Soulmusik zum Leben zu erwecken. Geboren 1970 als Tochter des Pfarrers Charles Lyles, wurde sie buchstäblich in die Gospelszene hineingeboren - es ist also kein Wunder, dass sie zusammen mit ihrem großartigen Gesangstalent einer glorreiche Karriere hinlegen konnte. Sie tourte mit vielen großen Gospelchören, wie etwa „The Very Best Of Black Gospel“, „Harlem Gospel Singers“ oder „The Philadelphia Singers“. Auch formte sie in jungem Alter eine erfolgreiche Gruppe mit dem Namen „The Chosen Ones“, bestehend aus ebenso zielstrebigen und talentierten jungen Musikern. Für ihr außergewöhnliches Talent erhielt Dorrey den „Best Gospel Award“ in den USA, die einzige derartige Auszeichnung landesweit. Später wurde sie Mitglied der weltbekannten und erfolgreichen Gruppe „The Weather Girls“.

DORREY L. LYLES is without question one of the most impressive and greatest soul singers. She is known not only for her extraordinary and powerful voice, but also for the authentic and passionate way in which she manages to bring soul music to life. Born in 1970 to the Reverend Charles Lyles, she was literally born into the gospel scene - so it's no wonder that she followed a glorious career along with her superb vocal talent. She toured with many great gospel choirs, such as "The Very Best Of Black Gospel," "Harlem Gospel Singers," and "The Philadelphia Singers." She also formed at a young age a successful group called "The Chosen Ones", consisting of equally determined and talented young musicians. For her exceptional talent, Dorrey received the "Best Gospel Award" in the USA, the only such award nationwide. Later she became a member of the world famous and successful group "The Weather Girls".
