Amoy Ribas ist eine solche Naturgewalt und ohne Zweifel in der obersten Liga der brasilianischen Musik zuhause.

Ribas wurde in der Hauptstadt Brasiliens, in Brasilia geboren und interessierte sich seit frühester Jugend für Musik. Bis heute beeinflusst von Jazz, Samba, Baiao und vielen anderen Stilistiken vermischt er Musikrichtungen und Techniken verschiedenster Couleur und transzendiert die Percussionsinstrumente von ihrer Funktion als reines Rhythmusinstrument. Nicht umsonst nannte ihn der große Hermeto Pascoal “einen der besten Percussionisten weltweit.” Ein größeres Kompliment kann es wohl nicht geben. Ribas spielte neben Pascoal auch noch mit MusikerInnen wie Richard Galliano, Rolf Kühn, Joyce, Marco Pereira, Guinga, Hamilton de Holanda, Billy Blanco, Beth Carvalho, Leila Pinheiro, Joyce, Paulinho Moska und Gilson Peranzzetta.

Die mit dem ASCAP-Preis ausgezeichnete Flötistin und Komponistin Hadar Noiberg erweitert die Möglichkeiten dessen was es heißt in der heutigen Welt eine Musikerin und Bandleaderin zu sein. Noibergs eklektischer musikalischer Hintergrund und ihre Erfahrung haben dazu geführt, dass sie ihren eigenen Stil kreiert hat, in dem sie all diese Einflüsse nahtlos miteinander verbindet - von klassischer Musik über Jazz bis hin zu brasilianischem Choro und orientalischer Musik. Mit ihrem außergewöhnlichen Trio tourt sie seit 2010 international in den USA, Kanada, Brasilien, Europa, Taiwan und Israel. Sie arbeitete mit renommierten Künstlern wie Yemen Blues, Dave Valentin, Anat Cohen, Omer Avital und spielte Auftritte bei Festivals und in Clubs wie Blue Note, WOMEX, Discover Jazz Festival, Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola, Babel Med Music, Roskilde Festival, "A" Trane, Central Park SummerStage, um nur einige zu nennen.

Tal Arditi ist ein in Berlin ansässiger israleischer Jazzgitarrist. Das Gitarren-Wunderkind begann mit 16 Jahren in Israel zu studieren um zwei Jahre später nach Berlin zu ziehen, wo er ein unverzichtbarer Teil der hiesigen Szene geworden ist. Tal bewegt sich mühelos durch jedwedes Genre und besticht sowohl durch seine Virtuosität wie auch durch sein Einfühlungsvermögen. Das Ausnahmetalent nahm bisher mehrere Alben unter eigenem Namen auf, tourte durch ganz Europa und zeigt sich auch weiterhin als unermüdlicher und kreativer Botschafter seines Instruments.

Tino Derado: Professor an der HfMH und am Jazz-Institut Berlin. Er lebte für 14 Jahre in New York City und war dort ein aktives Mitglied der lokalen Jazzszene. Sein Portfolio beinhaltet Zusammenarbeiten mit Jamey Haddad, Gary Burton, Peter Erskine, Richard Bona, Andy Gonzalez und vielen mehr. Er ist einer der vielseitigsten und kompetentesten in Deutschland lebenden Pianisten.

Philipp Bernhardt studierte Jazz an der Folkwang-Universität und im Anschluss daran am City College of New York. Während seines fünfjährigen New York Aufenthaltes spielte mit so namenhaften Musikern wie Ron Carter, Marc Ribot und John Pattitucci. Anschließend zog er nach Berlin und arbeitet seitdem mit Musikern verschiedenster Genres zusammen. Vom MDR-Sinfonieorchester und dem Absolut Ensemble zur Rumänischen Blaskapelle Fanfara Kalaschnikov zu Gitarrengott Kurt Rosenwinkel. Auftritte, zum Teil mit Unterstützung des Goethe Instituts führten ihn unter anderem nach Südkorea, China, Russland, Libanon ,Panama, Serbien und zu Festivals wie Wacken, Lowlands Festival oder dem Ulrichsberger Kalaidophon. Bernhardt war an Produktionen für den NDR, WDR, HR, BR, SWR und den Deutschlandfunk beteiligt und ist auf zahlreichen Tonträgern vertreten.

Ribas was born in Brasilia, the capital of Brazil, and has been interested in music from an early age. Influenced to this day by jazz, samba, baiao and many other styles, he mixes musical genres and techniques of all kinds and transcends the percussion instruments from their function as pure rhythm instruments. ASCAP award-winning flutist and composer Hadar Noiberg is expanding the possibilities of what it means to be a musician and bandleader in today's world. Noiberg's eclectic musical background and experience have led her to create her own style, seamlessly blending all of these influences - from classical music to jazz to Brazilian choro and Middle Eastern music. She has been touring internationally with her extraordinary trio since 2010 in the USA, Canada, Brazil, Europe, Taiwan and Israel. She has worked with renowned artists such as Yemen Blues, Dave Valentin, Anat Cohen, Omer Avital and performed at festivals and clubs such as Blue Note, WOMEX, Discover Jazz Festival, Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola, Babel Med Music, Roskilde Festival, "A" Trane, Central Park SummerStage, just to name a few.

Tal Arditi is a Berlin-based Isralean jazz guitarist. The guitar prodigy began studying in Israel at the age of 16 to move to Berlin two years later, where he has become an indispensable part of the local scene. Tal moves effortlessly through any genre and impresses with both his virtuosity and his sensitivity. The exceptional talent has recorded several albums under his own name, toured throughout Europe and continues to be a tireless and creative ambassador for his instrument.
