Yaron Herman ist ein Pianist und Komponist von Weltrang und gilt weithin als einer der führenden Musiker seiner Generation. Im Rahmen der Premierentournee seines brandneuen Quartetts besucht der Starpianist auch Berlin, bevor sich die Band im Sommer zu den Aufnahmen ihres ersten Albums ins Studio begeben wird.

Trotz seines jungen Alters hat Yaron Herman bereits alle Kontinente bereist, den Vorsitz der Jury des Montreux Jazz Festival Competition innegehabt, ist in Fernsehsendungen in 39 Ländern aufgetreten, hat zahlreiche Auszeichnungen erhalten, darunter den Victoires du Jazz, den iTunes Choice Award, die New Talents Trophy, den Adami Jazz Talent, den Choc Jazzman und den Disque d'émoi Jazz, und er war der erste Jazzpianist, der in der "Verbotenen Stadt" in Peking gespielt hat. Mit einem Hintergrund aus traditioneller israelischer Musik und europäischer Konzertsaalmusik, einem kurzen Aufenthalt an der Berklee College School of Music und seiner derzeitigen Präsenz in der Pariser Musikszene hat Yaron einen unvergleichlichen Stil und ein wildes improvisatorisches Feuer entwickelt, das in einer seltenen Musikform gipfelt, die verspielt, filmisch und atemberaubend ist; es gleicht wie bei kaum einem anderen Musiker wirklich dem Komponieren im Moment. Mit seinem neuen Album und seiner Tournee macht er einen weiteren Schritt nach vorne und hebt sein Œuvre auf ein neues Level.

Alexandra Grimal ist eine französische Tenor- und Soptransaxophonistin. Sie musiziert seit ihrer frühesten Jugend; mit 15 entdeckte sie das Saxophon für sich. Sie gehört nach ihren Studiun am Conservatoire de Paris, der Sibelius Akademie Helsinki und dem Conservatorium Den Haag inzwischen zu den gefragtesten europäischen MusikerInnen. Sie spielte Alben unter eigener Leitung ein und arbeitete mit Musikern wie Lee Konitz, Gary Peacock, Pauil Motian, Ralph Alessi, Thomas Morgan und so gut wie jedem renommierten französischem Musiker zusammen. Ihr Spiel wurde mehrfach ausgezeichnet, unter anderem mit dem Grand Prix du Tremplin Européen de Jazz d’Avignon. 2008 erhielt sie den Solistenpreis beim Tremplin l’Esprit Jazz à St Germain des Prés.

Haggai Cohen-Milo wurde in Israel geboren und ist bekannt für seine Arbeit als Kontrabassist, Komponist und Performance-Künstler. Seit mehr als zehn Jahren entwickelt er in Zusammenarbeit mit Tänzern und Choreographen eine eigene Methode, die als Bindeglied zwischen Klang, Bewegung und Bildender Kunst in der Performancekunst wirkt. Haggai Cohen-Milo tritt vor Publikum auf, arbeitet aber ebenso im Tonstudio und erscheint auf über 30 Alben für Label wie der Warner Music Group, Fresh Sound Records oder Tzadik. 2017 zog der Musiker nach Berlin, ein Jahr später erhielt er zusammen mit dem israelischen Omer Klein Trio den Echo in der Kategorie »Ensemble National«.

Der Schlagzeuger Amir Bresler kam im Alter von 15 Jahren zum ersten Mal mit Jazzmusik in Berührung, als er sich für das Jazzprogramm an der Thelma-Yellin National High School of the Arts in Givataim, Israel, registrierte, die er mit Auszeichnung abschloss. In den letzten Jahren hat sich Amir als einer der gefragtesten israelischen Schlagzeuger etabliert, der in Israel und im Ausland bei prominenten lokalen und internationalen Jazzfestivals auftritt. 2010 schloss sich Amir dem weltberühmten Bassisten, Sänger und Komponisten Avishai Cohen bei Konzerten auf der ganzen Welt an. Amir trat auch mit Gastmusikern wie Sam Yahel, Joel Fraham, Mark Turner, Kirk Lightsay und Dwayne Bruno auf. Darüber hinaus spielt Amir mit verschiedenen israelischen Künstlern, darunter Daniel Zamir, Kutiman, Gilad Hekselman, Nitai Hershkovits, Shai Maestro, Yotam Silbrestein, Amos Hoffman, Gilad Abro, um nur einige zu nennen.

Yaron Herman is a world-class pianist and composer and is widely regarded as one of the leading musicians of his generation. As part of the premiere tour of his brand new quartet, the star pianist will also be visiting Berlin before the band goes into the studio to record their first album in the summer.

Despite his young age, Yaron Herman has already traveled to all continents, chaired the jury of the Montreux Jazz Festival Competition, appeared on TV shows in 39 countries, received numerous awards, including the Victoires du Jazz, the iTunes Choice Award, the New Talents Trophy, the Adami Jazz Talent, the Choc Jazzman and the Disque d'émoi Jazz, and was the first jazz pianist to play in the "Forbidden City" in Beijing. In recent years, Amir has established himself as one of Israel's most sought-after drummers, performing in Israel and abroad at prominent local and international jazz festivals. In 2010, Amir joined world-renowned bassist, vocalist and composer Avishai Cohen in concerts around the world. Amir has also performed with guest musicians such as Sam Yahel, Joel Fraham, Mark Turner, Kirk Lightsay and Dwayne Bruno.
