Der Zig Zag-Jazzclub ist stolz darauf unsere neue Konzertreihe in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Jazz-Institut Berlin (JIB) fortzuführen, die musikalischen Talenten der internationalen Szene eine Bühne bieten wird. Das Jazz-Institut Berlin gilt deutschlandweit wie auch international als eine der renommiertesten Ausbildungsstätten für Jazz und zieht viele Talente aus der ganzen Welt an. Der 1998 geborene Berliner Posaunist Laszlo Griese wuchs durch seine musikalisch geprägte Familie, der Vater selbst Jazzmusiker, die Mutter Musiklehrerin, bereits seit frühesten Tagen mit verschiedensten musikalischen Einflüssen auf und komponierte und improvisierte bereits seit seiner frühen Jugend in verschiedenen Formationen vom Duo bis hin zu seiner eigenen Bigband. Mittlerweile studiert er Jazzposaune am Jazzinstitut Berlin. „Modus Operandi“ ist der Name seines neuen Septetts, das Griese mit vier Bläsern und Vibraphon durchaus speziell aufstellt. Im musikalischen Fokus stehen dabei Eigenkompsitionen der Musiker, inspiriert von legendären Musikern wie Oliver Nelson, Eric Dolphy oder Dave Holland.

Die Kompositionen des Saxophonisten Joan Osca haben ihren Ursprung in den Tiefen des Unterbewusstseins und der melodischen Assoziation. Klar strukturierte, logische Harmoniegerüste ergänzen die Musik der Band zu einem einzigartigen Sound. Das Quartett, mit Johann Greve am Bass, Jakob Reisener am Klavier und Steven Moser am Schlagzeug, lädt seine Hörer ein, es auf ihrer intensiven Klangreise zu begleiten und gemeinsam mit Ihnen durch Träume und Fantasien zu wandern.

Born in Berlin in 1998, trombonist Laszlo Griese grew up in a musical family - his father was a jazz musician and his mother a music teacher - and has been exposed to a wide range of musical influences since his earliest days, composing and improvising in various formations from duo to his own big band since his early youth. He is now studying jazz trombone at the Jazzinstitut Berlin. "Modus Operandi" is the name of his new septet, which Griese has formed with four wind instruments and vibraphone. The musical focus is on the musicians' own compositions, inspired by legendary musicians such as Oliver Nelson, Eric Dolphy and Dave Holland.

The compositions of saxophonist Joan Osca are characterized, among other things, by melodies that originate in the depths of his subconscious and harmonies that are guided by the logic of mathematics. The quartet, with Johann Greve on bass, Jakob Reisener on piano and Steven Moser on drums, invites its listeners to accompany it on its unique sound journey of dreams, experiences and fantasies.
