Der Sound von Django Reinhardt und dem Quintette du Hot Club de France! Im Geiste der legendären Pariser Brutstätte des Gipsy-Jazz bringt der Hot Club of Berlin die originalen Arrangements und Kompositionen von Django Reinhardt und seinen Weggefährten wie auch die Spielfreude und den “Vibe”.
Der Hot Club of Berlin wird von Francisco Batista & Thomas Dekas geleitet, stilistisch erfahrene Gitarristen, die schon mit den großen Namen der Gypsy-Jazz-Welt wie Mozes Rosenberg, Paulus Schäfer, Gonzalo Bergara, Sebastien Giniaux auf der Bühne standen. Begleitet werden sie dieses Mal von Igor Spallati.
Igor Spallati - geboren 1985 in Italien, begann er mit 19 Jahren Kontrabass zu spielen und studierte in Italien klassischen Kontrabass bei Silvio Bruni und Franco Petracchi. 2010 zog er nach Berlin, um am „Jazz Institut Berlin“ unter der Leitung von Greg Cohen, John Hollenbeck, Kurt Rosenwinkel und anderen zu studieren. Unter anderem hat er mit Ikonen des Jazz wie Joe Chambers, Billy Hart, Nasheet Waits, Jorge Rossy, Fred Hersch, Ethan Iverson, Ambrose Akinmusire, Lewis Nash, Elias Stemeseder, Jay Anderson, Ronnie Burrage, Pietro Tonolo, Gabriele Mirabassi, Dado Moroni, Joe Hisaishi, Louis Bacalov und der HR BigBand gearbeitet.

In the spirit of the legendary Parisian hotbed of Gipsy Jazz, the Hot Club of Berlin brings the original arrangements and compositions of Django Reinhardt and his companions as well as the joy of playing and the "vibe".The Hot Club of Berlin is led by Francisco Batista & Thomas Dekas, stylistically experienced guitarists who have been on stage with the big names of the Gypsy Jazz world such as Mozes Rosenberg, Paulus Schäfer, Gonzalo Bergara, Sebastien Giniaux. This time they will be accompanied by Igor Spallati.
Igor Spallati - born in Italy in 1985, he began playing double bass at the age of 19 and studied classical double bass in Italy with Silvio Bruni and Franco Petracchi.
