„Trio as it’s best “ (Jazzpodium - Alexander Schmitz 05/21)

1984 geboren, veröffentlichte Keßler mit „Little People“ 2022 sein bereits 5. Studioalbum.

Musik braucht kein Ego.“
Gemeinsam mit seinem Trio stellt Keßler Songs seiner aktuellen Studioalben „Bloodline“ und „Little People“ vor, wie auch gänzlich neue Kompositionen.

"Keßler has become absolutely unique in the sea of guitarists thanks to his passionate casualness and cool virtuoso technique." (Jazzthing - Reinhard Köchl 05/2021)

Robert Keßler is a guitarist and composer whose music combines contemporary jazz with rock, blues and pop. Those who have never met guitarist Robert Keßler will be able to get very close to a human being in his songs. He reveals a lot about his children, his neighbourhood, his view of the world and always offers a gentle dialogue in which the listeners are just as involved as the musicians involved. Keßler is a tireless sound researcher who is not content with searching, but only accepts what he has found. He pays homage to every single note in the same way he does to the people around him. His melodies and compositions are exciting, moving, multi-faceted and instil a feeling of familiarity in no time at all. Yet one always senses a great humility and modesty, because "it's always about the song. Music doesn't need an ego."
Together with his trio Keßler presents songs from his current studio albums "Bloodline" and "Little People" as well as entirely new compositions.

Born in 1984, Keßler released his 5th studio album with "Little People" in 2022. He tours as a sideman with various jazz and pop artists and has been a professor for guitar and ensemble at the SRH University Berlin since 2017, where he heads the music production and popular music courses.
