Alexander Pishchikov ist Saxophonist, Komponist und Arrangeur. Er arbeitete als führender Solist in berühmten Big Bands in Riga (Lettland) und Moskau. Mit seinen Combos spielte er auf internationalen Jazzfestivals in Estland, Polen, Belgrad und Moskau. Alexander führt in seinem Spiel das Erbe des Jazz-Giganten Coltrane fort, was besonders durch sein kraftvolles und hochemotionales Spiel deutlich wird. Benny Golson, Paul Gonsalves, Willis Conover, Dusko Gojkovich, Zbigniew Namyslowski und andere äußerten sich enthusiastisch über Alexanders Auftritte. Er ist weiterhin Autor zahlreicher Jazzkompositionen und zahlloser interessanter Arrangements.

Rachelle Jeanty ist in New York geboren und sie ist in Montreal aufgewachsene. Die Sängerin hat ihre Wurzeln in Haiti. Rachelle tritt seit ihrem 4. Lebensjahr in der folkloristischen Tanztruppe ihres Vaters auf und ihre Liebe zur karibischen Musik entfaltet sich, wenn sie singt und ihre Rhythmen auf Congas und Bongos spielt. Rachelle, das neueste Mitglied von LES COLORÉS (The Coloured), vertieft den Groove und das Repertoire dieser farbenfrohen afrokaribischen Jazzband mit ihrem Perkussionsspiel und ihrer melodischen Stimme. Nach einer Welttournee als Backsängerin für Celine Dion und 25 Jahren Gesang von Jazz bis Pop beginnt Rachelle ein neues Kapitel ihres musikalischen Lebens, indem sie zu ihren Wurzeln zurückkehrt und der Öffentlichkeit ihre karibische Seele bietet.

Auch Alex Sipiagin dürfte dem geneigten Jazzfan kein Unbekannter sein. Seit seinem 24. Lebensjahr lebt der gebürtige Russe in New York, wo er zu den absoluten Top-Spielern seines Fachs gehört. Er gewann den renommierten Louis-Armstrong-Wettbewerb des Th. Monk Institute, veröffentlichte zahlreiche Alben auf dem berüchtigten Label Criss Cross und arbeitete in Formationen mit Michael Brecker, Eric Clapton, Donny McCaslin, Seamus Blake, Dave Holland oder der Mingus Bigband.

Yakow Okun ist ein in Moskau geborener russischer Jazzpianist und Komponist. Er genoss zunächst eine klassische Klavierausbildung und schloss am renommierten Gnessin-Institut 1992 ab. Ab den 1990er Jahren etablierte er sich als eine feste Größe in der russischen Jazzwelt und wurde der First-Call-Pianist für in Russland gastierende Musiker, darunter Größen wie James Spaulding, Donny McCaslin oder Jeremy Pelt. Regelmäßig gastiert der Virtuose in den New Yorker Clubs, während einer seiner Aufenthalte entstand das Trio-Album New York Encounter mit Ben Street & Billy Drummond für Criss Cross Jazz. Okun gilt als einer der führenden russischen Jazzmusiker der letzten 30 Jahre.

Makar Novikov aus Moskau ist einer der bekanntesten russischen Jazz-Kontrabassisten. Als erfahrener Begleiter und virtuoser Solist ist er mit Künstlern wie Jimmy Cobb, Clark Terry, Jimmy Heath und James Spaulding aufgetreten. Er ist Absolvent der anerkannten Gnesins' Russian Academy of Music. Nach seinem Umzug nach Italien im Jahr 2022 begann er, intensiv mit italienischen Musikern wie Rosario Giuliani oder Maurizio Giammarco zusammenzuarbeiten und Jazzbass an der Siena Jazz University zu unterrichten. Heute tritt er regelmäßig als Mitglied der Projekte von Alex Sipiagin und Antonio Faraò sowie mit dem Olivia Trummer Trio und dem Isfar Sarabski Trio auf und tourt weltweit.

Die Zeitschrift Jazz Magazine bezeichnet Gregory Hutchinson ihn als "den Schlagzeuger seiner Generation", und in der Tat ist er einer der meistbeachteten Musiker unserer Zeit. Sein meisterhaftes Timing und der Ausdruck von Rhythmen sind der Kern seines persönlichen Stils. Er ist der Schlagzeuger für Liebhaber, der fest in der Jazztradition verwurzelt ist und in der Lage ist, sich allen Musikstilen mit höchster Präzision und Fantasie zu nähern. Dianne Reeves beschreibt ihn als "pures Genie". Gary Giddins beschrieb seine Schlagzeugarbeit als "elegant" und eher "wie Tanzen". Joshua Redman beschreibt ihn als "inspiriert". Für Hutch ist es sein Ziel, das Schlagzeug so zu spielen, wie Charlie Parker die Hörner spielt: "Ich möchte auf dem Schlagzeug so singen, wie er auf dem Horn singt."

Alexander Pishchikov is a saxophonist, composer and arranger. He has worked as a leading soloist in famous big bands in Riga (Latvia) and Moscow. He has played with his combos at international jazz festivals in Estonia, Poland, Belgrade and Moscow. Alexander continues the legacy of the jazz giant Coltrane in his playing, which is particularly evident in his powerful and highly emotional playing. Benny Golson, Paul Gonsalves, Willis Conover, Dusko Gojkovich, Zbigniew Namyslowski and others have spoken enthusiastically about Alexander's performances. Rachelle Jeanty was born in New York and grew up in Montreal. The singer has her roots in Haiti. Alex Sipiagin is no stranger to jazz fans. Since the age of 24, the native Russian has lived in New York, where he is one of the absolute top players in his field. He won the renowned Louis Armstrong Competition of the Th. Monk Institute, released numerous albums on the infamous Criss Cross label and worked in formations with Michael Brecker, Eric Clapton, Donny McCaslin, Seamus Blake, Dave Holland or the Mingus Big Band.

Makar Novikov from Moscow is one of the best known Russian jazz double bassists. An experienced accompanist and virtuoso soloist, he has performed with artists like Jimmy Cobb, Clark Terry, Jimmy Heath and James Spaulding. He is a graduate of the acknowledged Gnesins’ Russian Academy of Music. After his move to Italy in 2022, he started to work extensively with Italian musicians like Rosario Giuliani or Maurizio Giammarco, and to teach jazz bass at the Siena Jazz University. Today, he regularly appears as a member of Alex Sipiagin’s and Antonio Faraò’s projects as well as with the Olivia Trummer Trio and the Isfar Sarabski Trio, touring worldwide.

Jazz Magazine describes him as “the drummer of his generation” and indeed, Gregory Hutchinson is one of the most highly respected musicians of our time. His mastery of timing and expression of rhythms is at the core of his personal style. He is a musician’s drummer, soundly rooted in the jazz tradition he is able to approach all styles of music with supreme accuracy and imagination, decorating compositions with his natural feel and mind blowing innovation. Dianne Reeves describes him as “Pure Genius.” Gary Giddins described his drum work as “Elegant” and more “like dancing.” Joshua Redman describes him as “Inspired.” To Hutch, his goal is to play the drums like Charlie Parker plays the horns, “I want to sing on the drums the way he sings on the horn.”
