Nicole Zuraitis ist eine vielfach preisgekrönte amerikanische Jazzmusikerin (Gesang, Piano, Songwriting, Arrangement). Zuraitis interessierte sich zunächst für Sport und war eine talentierte Fußballspielerin, bevor sie in der High School zum Jazz fand, wo sie mit Posaune begann, aber später zum Gesang wechselte. Sie studierte klassischen Gesang an der New York University, bevor sie ihren Weg im Jazz entdeckte, nachdem sie zufällig zu einem Jazzfestival eingeladen wurde. Seit 2013 hat Zuraitis sechs Alben als Jazzsängerin veröffentlicht und leitet ihr eigenes Quartett. Zudem ist sie die Bandvokalistin der Birdland Big Band. Ihr Arrangement von Dolly Partons Jolene, das sie zusammen mit ihrem Mann Dan Pugach schrieb, wurde 2019 für einen Grammy nominiert. Ihr Debütalbum How Love Begins, das sie gemeinsam mit Christian McBride produzierte, gewann 2024 den Grammy für das beste Jazz-Gesangsalbum. Idan Morim, ein talentierter Gitarrist und Komponist aus Israel, begann seine professionelle Musikkarriere bereits mit 16 Jahren. Nach seiner Ausbildung an der Yigon Alon High School und weiteren Zwischenstationen spielte er mit vielen großen israelischen Künstlern und gründete gleichzeitig seinen eigenen Sound. Morim studierte am Tel Aviv Conservatory und später an der renommierten New School in NYC, wo er mit bekannten Musikern wie Adam Rogers und Oz Noy zusammenarbeitete. Sam Weber ist ein akustischer und elektrischer Bassist, Komponist und Arrangeur, der in Brooklyn, New York, lebt. Seit seiner Ankunft in New York City im Jahr 2012 ist er als Sideman sehr gefragt und hat mit einer Vielzahl von Musikern aus den unterschiedlichsten Genres zusammengearbeitet. Von Singer-Songwritern bis hin zu Jazzgrößen der Stad. Sam hat auf bedeutenden Jazzbühnen wie dem Blue Note, Lincoln Center und Birdland gespielt, aber auch auf Festivals und in außergewöhnlichen Orten wie Hotels und Booten. 2025 war Sam auf drei Grammy-nominierten Aufnahmen zu hören, darunter „The Impossible Dream“ von Aaron Lazar und „Little Fears“ von der Dan Pugach Big Band. Dan Pugach ist ein israelischer Schlagzeuger, Komponist und Arrangeur des Modern Jazz. Nach seinem Studium am Berklee College of Music und dem City College of New York gründete er das Dan Pugach Nonet, mit dem er weltweit tourt. Er erhielt mehrfach den ASCAP Young Jazz Composer Award und gewann 2019 den Charlie Parker Composition Prize. Sein Debütalbum Plus One (2018) erreichte die Top 20 der Jazz-Radiocharts, und sein Arrangement von Jolene wurde für einen Grammy nominiert. 2024 erschien sein Album Bianca Reimagined, das ihm 2025 einen Grammy in der Jazzensemble-Kategorie einbrachte. Sein BigBand-Stil erinnert an das Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Orchestra der 1960er.

Nicole Zuraitis is an award-winning American jazz musician (vocals, piano, songwriting, arrangement). Zuraitis initially focused on sports and was a talented soccer player before turning to jazz in high school, where she started on trombone but later switched to vocals. She studied classical voice at New York University before finding her true path in jazz after being invited to a jazz festival. Since 2013, Zuraitis has released six albums as a jazz singer and leads her own quartet. She is also the band vocalist for the Birdland Big Band. Her arrangement of Dolly Parton's Jolene, co-written with her husband Dan Pugach, was nominated for a Grammy in 2019. How Love Begins, produced with Christian McBride, won the Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal Album in 2024. She has collaborated with artists such as Antonio Sanchez, Gilad Hekselman, Veronica Swift, and more, and teaches at New York University and the State University of New York, Purchase.
