Gloomers ist der Begriff, den Kenneth Dahl Knudsen, einer der führenden europäischen Bassisten gewählt hat um die Menschen einer Generation zu beschreiben, die sich hinter Bildschirmen verstecken aus Angst vor eigener Unzulänglichkeit. Mit seinem neuen Album feiert der kreative Däne die Leidenschaft und die Hingabe für die Musik und ihre Vielfältigkeit abseits von Klicks und Likes. Mitreißende, abwechslungsreiche und hochvirtuose Musik, die die Einflüsse aus Kenneths musikalischem Leben zu einem überwältigenden und schlüssigen Ganzen verschmelzen lässt; von Nirvana und Green Day über Coltrane und Parker bis hin zu Bach und Bartok.

Kenneth Dahl Knudsen ist ein dänischer Bassist, Komponist, Bandleader und Jazzpädagoge. In seinem Werk verarbeitet er Einflüsse aus verschiedensten Stilrichtungen, was ihm große Anerkennung bei Kritikern wie Mitspielern eingebracht hat. Er gilt als einer der führenden Bassisten Europas, hat mit John Scofield, Aaron Parks, Gilad Hekselman und vielen mehr gespielt und vielfach ausgezeichnet: 2010 erhielt er den Preis des dänischen Musikverbandefs, mit dem Gauthier Toux Trio gewann er zahlreiche Festivalpreise und 2019 erhielt er den Nordjyske Kulturpris für seine Bemühungen um die dortige Jazzszene.

Sein Ensemble ist eine Allstar-Band, bestehend aus talentierten Rising Stars wie etablierten MusikerInnen der europäischen Musikszene, darunter die UkrainerInnen Ganna Gryniva und Oleksandr Kolosii, das deutsche Gesangstalent Emilie Fleig, die Skandinavier Jimmy Nyborg, Toms Rudzinskis, Lucas Illines und Matias Fischer sowie den israelischen Meisterpianisten Eyal Lovett.

Captivating, varied and highly virtuosic music that blends the influences of Kenneth's musical life into an overwhelming and coherent whole; from Nirvana and Green Day to Coltrane and Parker to Bach and Bartok.

Kenneth Dahl Knudsen is a Danish bassist, composer, bandleader and jazz educator. His work incorporates influences from a wide variety of styles, which has earned him great acclaim from critics and fellow players alike. He is considered one of Europe's leading bassists, has played with John Scofield, Aaron Parks, Gilad Hekselman and many more, and has received numerous awards: in 2010 he was awarded the Danish Music Association Prize, with the Gauthier Toux Trio he won numerous festival prizes and in 2019 he received the Nordjyske Kulturpris for his efforts on the local jazz scene.

His ensemble is an all-star band consisting of talented rising stars and established musicians from the European music scene, including the Ukrainians Ganna Gryniva and Oleksandr Kolosii, the German vocal talent Emilie Fleig, the Scandinavians Jimmy Nyborg, Toms Rudzinskis, Lucas Illines and Matias Fischer as well as the Israeli master pianist Eyal Lovett.
