Aly Keïtas Musik und sein Können kommen besonders im Trio mit dem Schlagzeuger Lucas Niggli und dem Klarinettisten und Saxophonisten Jan Galega Brönnimann zur Geltung. Die beiden Schweizer Musiker mit Wurzeln in Kamerun sind die perfekte Ergänzung für Keita und zaubern gemeinsam mit ihm hypnotische Trommeln, treibende Grooves und ausschweifende Improvisationen. Die beiden erfolgreichen Alben Kalo Yele und Kalan Teban sind Zeugnisse dieses einmaligen tranceartigen Hörvergnügens.

Sein wirbelndes Balafon-Spiel ist kann man nur als spektakulär bezeichnen. Aus einer Musikerfamilie stammend, baut und spielt Aly schon seit von seiner Kindheit an seine eigenen Instrumente und hat es heute bis an die Seite der Besten geschafft: Omar Sosa, Pharoah Sanders, Joe Zawinul und viele andere.

Lucas Niggli ist einer der außergewöhnlichsten Schweizer Musiker. 1968 in Kamerun geboren entdeckte er schon früh in seiner Jugend seine Affinität zur Musik, insbesondere zu Schlaginstrumenten. Stets interessiert am Grenzgang zwischen den Genres ist Lucas überall zwischen neuer Musik, Jazz, Rock zuhause und lotet immerzu die Grenzen des instrumental machbaren aus. Er spielt weltweit Konzerte und ist darüber hinaus auch noch ein hingebungsvoller Workshop-Dozent, sei es Percussion, freie Improvisation oder Bandkonzepte.

Jan Galega Brönnimann arbeitet als freischaffender Musiker (saxophone, bass- und kontrabassklarinette und elektronik) und Komponist. Er ist seit vielen Jahren in der Szene unterwegs und bekannt für seine innovativen und innovativen Kollaborationen. als Komponist und Instrumentalist hat er unter anderem mit folgenden Musikern zusammengearbeitet: Kenny Werner, Eddy Floyd, Nils Petter Molvaer, Sidsel Endresen, William Bell un vielen mehr. Aly Keïta's music and skills come into their own especially in a trio with drummer Lucas Niggli and clarinetist and saxophonist Jan Galega Brönnimann. The two Swiss musicians with roots in Cameroon are the perfect complement to Keita, and together they conjure hypnotic drums, driving grooves and debauched improvisations. The two successful albums Kalo Yele and Kalan Teban are testimonies to this unique trance-like listening pleasure.

Lucas Niggli is one of the most extraordinary Swiss musicians. Born in Cameroon in 1968, he discovered his affinity for music, especially percussion instruments, early in his youth. Always interested in pushing the boundaries between genres, Lucas is at home anywhere between new music, jazz, rock and is constantly exploring the limits of what is instrumentally possible. He plays concerts worldwide and is also a devoted workshop lecturer, be it percussion, free improvisation or band concepts.

Jan Galega Brönnimann works as a freelance musician(saxophones, bass- and contrabassclarinet and electronics) and composer. he has been on the scene for years and is known for his innovative and cutting edge collaborations. as a composer and instrumentalist he has worked with the likes of: kenny werner, eddy floyd, nils petter molvaer, sidsel endresen, william bell, pierre favre, aly keïta, lucas niggli, joy frempong, malcolm braff, peter schärli, werner hasler, ricardo regidor, nadja stoller, ronan skillen, harald haerter, roland philipp, hans feigenwinter, round table knights, baze, nya, moussa cissokho, omri hason, eivind aarset....he is best known as a frontman with his own band brink man ship. he toured all around the world and played on festivals in asia, north america, russia, africa and europe.
