Der Sound von Django Reinhardt und dem Quintette du Hot Club de France! Im Geiste der legendären Pariser Brutstätte des Gipsy-Jazz bringt der Hot Club of Berlin die originalen Arrangements und Kompositionen von Django Reinhardt und seinen Weggefährten wie auch die Spielfreude und den “Vibe”.

Der Hot Club of Berlin wird von Francisco Batista & Thomas Dekas geleitet, stilistisch erfahrene Gitarristen, die schon mit den großen Namen der Gypsy-Jazz-Welt wie Mozes Rosenberg, Paulus Schäfer, Gonzalo Bergara, Sebastien Giniaux auf der Bühne standen. Begleitet werden sie dieses Mal von Martin Buhl, ebenfalls einer von Djangos, Schnuckenacks und Grappellis Erben.
Diese Konzertreihe findet einmal im Monat im Zig Zag statt und der Hot Club lädt verschiedene Künstler ein um dem Gipsy-Jazz Tribut zu zollen. Mit jedem Gast kommt dabei ein neuer musikalischer Leckerbissen auf den Tisch. Dieses Mal ist es allerdings nicht nur einer, sondern gleich zwei:
Leo Forde an der Gitarre und Federico Zoltron an der Violine!

Leo Forde ist ein schottischer Gitarrist aus Glasgow, der jetzt in der Heimatstadt des Jazz, New Orleans lebt, wo er einen mehr als vollen Terminkalender hat und mit vielen der bekanntesten Künstler der Stadt auftritt und tourt. Darunter The Hot Club of New Orleans, Meschiya Lake und Aurora Nealand. Er leitet auch seine eigene Gruppe Double Whisky, die sich mit einer zeitgenössischen Interpretation der Musik von Django Reinhardt und Eigenkompositionen beschäftigt.

Federico Zaltron ist ein italienischer Geiger, Improvisator, Arrangeur, Komponist und Lehrer, der zwischen Paris und Berlin lebt. Er spielt hauptsächlich Swing und traditionellen Jazz, arbeitet aber auch mit anderen Musikrichtungen wie zeitgenössischem Jazz, freier Improvisation, klassischer Musik und südamerikanischer Musik. Er ist auf renommierten Bühnen und Festivals in ganz Europa aufgetreten und hat mit namhaften Musikern und Ensembles der internationalen Szene wie Enrico Rava, Duved Dunayevsky, Daniel Garlitsky, Prebop'Orchestra, Riccardo Zegna, Ewan Bleach, Syncopation 'Society' Orchestra, LucaSimoncini, Enrico Tomasso und vielen anderen zusammengearbeitet.

In the spirit of the legendary Parisian hotbed of Gipsy Jazz, the Hot Club of Berlin brings the original arrangements and compositions of Django Reinhardt and his companions as well as the joy of playing and the "vibe".The Hot Club of Berlin is led by Francisco Batista & Thomas Dekas, stylistically experienced guitarists who have been on stage with the big names of the Gypsy Jazz world such as Mozes Rosenberg, Paulus Schäfer, Gonzalo Bergara, Sebastien Giniaux. This time they will be accompanied by Martin Buhl, also one of Django's, Schnuckenack's and Grappelli's heirs.This concert series takes place once a month at Zig Zag and the Hot Club invites different artists to pay tribute to Gipsy Jazz. With each guest, a new musical treat is brought to the table. This time, however, it's not just one, but two: Leo Forde on guitar and Federico Zoltron on violin!

Leo Forde is a Scottish guitarist from Glasgow who now lives in the hometown of jazz, New Orleans, where he has a more than busy schedule performing and touring with many of the city's best-known artists. Among them are The Hot Club of New Orleans, Meschiya Lake and Aurora Nealand. He also leads his own group, Double Whisky, which features a contemporary interpretation of Django Reinhardt's music and original compositions.

Federico Zaltron is an Italian violinist, improviser, arranger, composer and teacher based between Paris and Berlin. He mainly plays swing and traditional jazz, but also works with other musical genres including contemporary jazz, free improvisation, classical music, and South American music. He has performed on prestigious stages and at festivals across Europe, collaborating with renowned musicians and ensembles on the International scene such as Enrico Rava, Duved Dunayevsky, Daniel Garlitsky, Prebop'Orchestra, Riccardo Zegna, Ewan Bleach, Syncopation 'Society' Orchestra, LucaSimoncini, Enrico Tomasso and many more.
