Fabiana Striffler ist eine der gefragtesten deutschen Geigerinnen und einer der Rising Stars der deutschen Jazzwelt. In ihrem dritten Album Archiotíc, erschienen auf mischt die Virtuosin analoge Synthesizer, Streichinstrumente und elektrischen Bass. Traumton Records schrieb: "Konsequenter denn je überquert sie Stilgrenzen, lässt auf selten gehörte Art Virtuosität und Humor in Komposition und Ausführung umeinander tänzeln.”

Geboren 1988, studierte Fabiana Striffler Jazz und klassische Geige an der Universität der Künste und der Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin und teilte bereits in jungen Jahren Bühnen und Studios mit namhaften Musikern aus der Jazz-, Klassik- und Popszene. Ihr Debütalbum Mahagoni wurde vom Deutschlandfunk als „Bestes Album“ des Jahres nominiert. Von 2013 bis 2018 war sie Stipendiatin des Yehudi Menuhin Vereines. Sie bespielte Spielstätten wie die Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Konzerthaus Berlin, Filharmonie Brno CZ, Le Palais des Congrès de Paris FR, Volksbühne Berlin, Sunset Paris FR, A-Trane Berlin, Jazz Dock Prague, das Fusion-Festival und mehr. Sie tourte weltweit in über 20 Ländern, kollaborierte in über 40 Studioproduktionen und brillierte in einer Reihe von Radio-, und Theater-, und Opern-Produktionen. 2022 wurde sie für den deutschen Jazzpreis nominiert.

Julia Biłat ist eine in Berlin lebende Cellistin, Performerin und Komponistin. Sie hat sich intensiv der Erforschung ihrer eigenen musikalischen und performativen Sprache gewidmet.
Als klassisch ausgebildete und improvisierende Cellistin wirkt sie in zahlreichen musikalischen Projekten mit.
Im Auftrag des Stegreif.Orchestra komponiert sie regelmäßig, entwickelt improvisatorische Konzepte und leitet Produktionen (zuletzt #bechange Hildegard von Bingen 2022).


Jörg Hochapfel ist Tasteninstrumentalist und Teilzeitgitarrist und lebt in Berlin. Derzeitige Projekte sind die surrealistische Jazzband Bruchgold & Koralle, das modulare Synthesizer-Duo Palais d'Amour mit Uwe Haas, die exotischen Zabots mit Nils Kacirek und das Post-Alles-Projekt Hunger. Außerdem ist er Teil von Onom Agemo & The Disco Jumpers, Fabiana Strifflers Archiotic und Max Andrzejewskis Projekt Hütte Plays Robert Wyatt. Außerdem war er lange Zeit Mitglied des Andromeda Mega Express Orchestra und für kurze Zeit Mitglied der Jimi Tenor Band.

Paul Santner ist ein in Berlin lebender österreichischer Gitarrist, Kontrabassist und Sänger. Schon in frühen Jahren zeigte sich ein außergewöhnliches Talent zur Musik und Paul erlernte von Kindesbeinen an mehrere Instrumente. Nach ersten Auszeichnungen in der Jugend (Jugend musiziert, Joe-Zawinul-Preis) zog er nach Berlin, wo er Jazz bei Kurt Rosenwinkel studierte. Seitdem ist er fester Bestandteil der Berliner Szene und tritt regelmäßig auf Festivals in ganz Europa auf.

Fabiana Striffler is one of the most sought-after German violinists and one of the rising stars of the German jazz world. Born in 1988, Fabiana Striffler studied jazz and classical violin at the University of the Arts and the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin and shared stages and studios with renowned musicians from the jazz, classical and pop scene at a young age. Her debut album Mahagoni was nominated as "Best Album" of the year by Deutschlandfunk. From 2013 to 2018 she was a scholarship holder of the Yehudi Menuhin Association. She has performed at venues such as the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Konzerthaus Berlin, Filharmonie Brno CZ, Le Palais des Congrès de Paris FR, Volksbühne Berlin, Sunset Paris FR, A-Trane Berlin, Jazz Dock Prague, the Fusion Festival and more. She has toured worldwide in over 20 countries, collaborated in over 40 studio productions and shone in a number of radio, theater and opera productions. In 2022 she was nominated for the German Jazz Award.

Julia Biłat is a cellist, performer and composer based in Berlin. She has devoted herself intensively to exploring her own musical and performative language.
As a classically trained and improvising cellist, she is involved in numerous musical projects.
She regularly composes on behalf of the Stegreif.orchestra, develops improvisational concepts and directs productions (most recently #bechange Hildegard von Bingen 2022).


Jörg Hochapfel is a keyboard instrumentalist and part-time guitarist and lives in Berlin. Current projects include the surrealist jazz band Bruchgold & Koralle, the modular synthesizer duo Palais d'Amour with Uwe Haas, the exotic Zabots with Nils Kacirek and the post-everything project Hunger. He is also part of Onom Agemo & The Disco Jumpers, Fabiana Striffler's Archiotic and Max Andrzejewski's project Hütte Plays Robert Wyatt. He was also a long-time member of the Andromeda Mega Express Orchestra and for a short time a member of the Jimi Tenor Band.

Paul Santner is an Austrian guitarist, double bassist and singer living in Berlin. Paul showed an extraordinary talent for music at an early age and learned to play several instruments from childhood. After receiving his first awards in his youth (Jugend musiziert, Joe Zawinul Prize), he moved to Berlin, where he studied jazz with Kurt Rosenwinkel. Since then, he has been an integral part of the Berlin scene and performs regularly at festivals throughout Europe.
