Diego Piñera, einer der gefeiertsten Schlagzeuger und Musiker im europäischen Raum, präsentiert nach vielen bahnbrechenden Konzerten in unserem Club seine neue Platte Underground Rollercoaster, gemeinsam mit seiner Berliner Band. Es erwartet sie eine spektakuläre musikalische Achterbahnfahrt voller Virtuosität und Emotion!

Diego Pinera, preisgekrönter Jazzvirtuose, ist eine einzigartige Persönlichkeit, die der Musik wirklich neue Wege weist, indem er die poetisch-rhythmische Freiheit des Jazz anderen metrischen Systemen gegenüberstellt. Sein charakterstarker persönlicher Stil ist geprägt durch ein avanciert rhythmisches Spielkonzept, ein Jazz-Sound mit Latin-Touch sowie dem Freiheitdrang der Improvisation. Musikalische Komplexität sowie Virtuosität bleiben bei Pinera aber stets subtil, eine besondere Frische und Leichtigkeit durchströmt sein künstlerisches Schaffen. Seit 2002 wurde Diego Piñera sowohl als Drummer „Instrumentalist“ als auch als Songwriter international wie national mehrfach ausgezeichnet, mit dem ECHO JAZZ 2017 und dem Deutschen Jazzpreis 2023 . Das bei ACT Records erschienene Album Odd Wisdom, bei dem u.A. mit Donny McCaslin erhielt eine Grammy-Nominierung. Er gilt als Ausnahmekünstler seines Faches.

Mit seiner in der Jazztradition verwurzelten Herangehensweise an den Rhythmus nutzt Peter Ehwald ungewöhnliche Besetzungen und moderne Harmoniekonzepte, um in seinen energiegeladenen und doch elegischen Improvisationen das "Hier und Jetzt" zu projizieren. Peter hat mit Musikern wie Tom Rainey, Clarence Penn, Eivin Aares, Rhani Krija, Dan Weiss, Rudi Mahall, Claudio Puntin, Gunter Hampel, Nils Wogram, John Schröder, Jon Scott, Matthias Schubert, Stefan Schultze, Samuel Rohrer, Jonas Burgwinkel, Robert Landfermann gearbeitet. Peter ist ein aktiver Teil der Berliner Jazzszene und vielbeschäftigter Sideman.

Der Gitarrist und Komponist Igor Osypov hat sich mit seinem knackigen, leicht verzerrten Sound zu einer der markantesten Stimmen im Jazz sowie in Indie-Rock und Fusion entwickelt. Eines der Alben, an denen er im Rahmen von Logan Richardsons Projekt „Blues People“ mitgearbeitet hat, wurde von der New York Times unter die Top 3 Jazzalben des Jahres 2018 aufgenommen.

Als Kontrabassist ist Marcel Krömker seit über 15 Jahren auf Tournee - von Island bis Marokko, von Venezuela bis Südkorea. Nach seinen Studien in Amsterdam und Berlin arbeitete er u.a. mit renommierten Produzenten wie Yensin Jahn und Andy Jung zusammen. Als Jazz-Kontrabassist gehörten Konzerte mit u.a. Nils Landgreen, Alex Sipiagin, Toni Lakatos, Nils Wogram zu Marcels musikalischen Highlights. 2020 erschien sein Debütalbum unter eigenem Namen.

Diego Pinera, award-winning jazz virtuoso, is a unique personality who truly breaks new ground for music by juxtaposing the poetic-rhythmic freedom of jazz with other metric systems. His strong character personal style is characterized by an advanced rhythmic concept of playing, a jazz sound with a Latin touch as well as the freedom urge of improvisation. However, musical complexity as well as virtuosity always remain subtle with Pinera, a special freshness and lightness flows through his artistic work. Since 2002, Diego Piñera has received several awards both as a drummer "instrumentalist" and as a songwriter, both internationally and nationally, with the ECHO JAZZ 2017 and the German Jazz Award 2023 . The album Odd Wisdom, released on ACT Records, with Donny McCaslin among others, received a Grammy nomination. He is considered an exceptional artist in his field. With his approach to rhythm rooted in the jazz tradition, Peter Ehwald uses unusual instrumentation and modern harmonic concepts to project the "here and now" in his energetic yet elegiac improvisations. Peter is an active part of the Berlin jazz scene and busy sideman.

Guitarist and composer Igor Osypov's crisp, slightly distorted sound has made him one of the most distinctive voices in jazz as well as indie rock and fusion. One of the albums he collaborated on as part of Logan Richardson's "Blues People" project was named one of the top 3 jazz albums of 2018 by the New York Times.

As a double bass player Marcel Krömker has been touring for over 15 years - from Iceland to Morocco, from Venezuela to South Korea. After his studies in Amsterdam and Berlin, he worked with renowned producers such as Yensin Jahn and Andy Jung, among others. As a jazz double bass player, concerts with Nils Landgreen, Alex Sipiagin, Toni Lakatos, Nils Wogram, among others, were among Marcel's musical highlights. In 2020 his debut album under his own name was released.
