Cosmo Klein & The Campers ist weniger eine Band als ein internationales Musikernetzwerk, was 2023 sein gefeiertes Debut Album Soul Fiction veröffentlicht hat. Neben international gefeierten Gästen wie Vuflpeck-Gitarrero Cory Wong oder Justin-Timberlake-Drummer Brian Frasier Moore versammelt sich die Creme de la Creme der deutschen Musiker Szene um den Sänger, Songwriter und Produzenten Cosmo Klein. Auf dem Erstlingswerk der Campers versammeln sich Musiker wie Benny Greb, Thomas Stieger, Noah Führbringer, Hanno Busch, Thorsten Skringer, Peter Weniger, Jakob Manz uvm. und liefern auch live eine geballte Ladung Soul & Funk. Während die grossen Helden wie Prince, Marvin Gaye und James Brown in der stilistischen DNA des Projekts verankert sind, klingen Cosmo Klein & The Campers authentisch, modern und zeitlos zugleich.

Cosmo Klein ist wohl jedem ein Begriff, der sich mit der deutschen Funk- und Soulszene auseinander gesetzt hat. Der in Berlin lebende Klein gehört zu den bekanntesten und beliebtesten Vertretern seines Fachs und kann inzwischen auf eine über 20 Jahre währende Karriere zurück blicken. Kollaborationen mit den meistbeschäftigten und einflussreichsten Instrumentalisten der deutschen Szene, Songwriting-Aufträge für Popsänger und das Kino sowie mehrere gefragte Projekte unterschiedlicher musikalischer Prägung; Cosmo ist ein Multitalent, das es bisher immer vermieden, sich medial zu auszuverkaufen, wodurch er besonders den Kennern der Szene für seine spektakulären Live Shows bekannt ist. Erst kürzlich lud ihn die SWR Big Band zu einem Gastspiel ein und auch hier hielt es niemanden auf den Stühlen.

Als Till Sahm mit 12 Jahren im Wohnzimmer seiner Eltern das erste Mal die Kassetten von Weather Report zu hören bekommt ist es um ihn geschehen. Diese unerhörte kreative Energie von Künstlern, die gemeinsam auf der Bühne etwas Einmaliges erschaffen, lässt ihn nie wieder los. Am Münchener Konservatorium und der Franz-Liszt Universität zu Weimar lernt Till im Studium das Handwerk, bleibt sich aber stets treu und lässt aus seiner Handschrift eine eigene musikalische Sprache entstehen. Bis heute ist das Livespielen die große Liebe des erfahrenen Musikers, der seit den 90ern auf internationalen Bühnen als Pianist, Keyboarder und Musical Director unter anderem für Bilal, Omar, Silbermond, Cosmo Klein oder Mark Forster unterwegs ist.

Ruben Grosse studiert momentan in Mannheim an der Pop Akademie und ist Cosmo‘s neuer Lieblings Gitarrist. Unverschämt jung und unverschämt gut.

Seit vielen Jahren gehört Thomas Stieger zu den meist beschäftigten Bassisten, Sidemen und Sessionmusikern Deutschlands. Lebhaft in Berlin, arbeitet er für national und international renommierte Acts und Künstlern der europäischen Szene unterschiedlichster Genres, die größtenteils der bunten Welt der Pop-, Rock-, Soul- und Jazzmusik zuzuordnen sind. Cosmo Klein & The Campers is less a band than an international network of musicians that released its acclaimed debut album Soul Fiction in 2023. Alongside internationally acclaimed guests such as Vuflpeck guitarist Cory Wong and Justin Timberlake drummer Brian Frasier Moore, the crème de la crème of the German music scene gathers around singer, songwriter and producer Cosmo Klein. On the Campers' debut album, musicians such as Benny Greb, Thomas Stieger, Noah Führbringer, Hanno Busch, Thorsten Skringer, Peter Weniger, Jakob Manz and many more come together to deliver a concentrated load of soul and funk live. While the great heroes such as Prince, Marvin Gaye and James Brown are anchored in the stylistic DNA of the project, Cosmo Klein & The Campers sound authentic, modern and timeless at the same time.

Cosmo Klein is well known to anyone who has been involved in the German funk and soul scene. Klein, who lives in Berlin, is one of the best-known and most popular representatives of his field and can now look back on a career spanning more than 20 years. Collaborations with the busiest and most influential instrumentalists on the German scene, songwriting assignments for pop singers and the cinema as well as several sought-after projects of various musical styles; Cosmo is a multi-talented artist who has already set a number of venues alight with his intense live performances.

When Till Sahm was 12 years old and heard the Weather Report cassettes for the first time in his parents' living room, he was hooked. This unheard-of creative energy of artists who create something unique together on stage never lets him go. At the Munich Conservatory and the Franz Liszt University in Weimar, Till learns the craft during his studies, but always remains true to himself and lets his own musical language emerge from his handwriting. To this day, playing live is the great love of the experienced musician, who has been on the road since the 90s on international stages as a pianist, keyboardist and musical director for Bilal, Omar, Silbermond, Cosmo Klein or Mark Forster, among others.

Ruben Grosse is currently studying at the Pop Academy in Mannheim and is Cosmo's new favorite guitarist. Outrageously young and outrageously good.

Thomas Stieger has been one of the busiest bassists, sidemen and session musicians in Germany for many years. Based in Berlin, he works for nationally and internationally renowned acts and artists from the European scene of various genres, most of which belong to the colorful world of pop, rock, soul and jazz music.
