Der Grammy-Nominierte Potter hat sich zu einer der führenden musikalischen Persönlichkeiten seiner Generation entwickelt. Kritiker und Fans feiern Potter gleichermaßen für seine musikalische Bodenständigkeit und seinen vibrierenden Sinn für Swing wie auch für seine schier grenzenlose Kreativität. Nicht umsonst wird Chris regelmäßig als absolute Autorität am modernen Tenorsaxophon geführt. Der New Yorker nennt Potter "einen Tenoristen, der an Joe Henderson in seinen besten Momenten erinnert, der seine beachtliche Technik in den Dienst der Musik und nicht des Spektakels setzt”. Er hat mit nahezu allen namhaften Jazz-MusikerInnen unserer Zeit gearbeitet, spielt überall auf der Welt und ist darüber hinaus auch noch ein gefragter und versierter Pädagoge.

Der aus Venezuela stammende Edward Simon hat sich in Amerika über Jahrzehnte hinweg einen Namen als Jazz-Improvisator, Komponist und Arrangeur sowie als Bandleader gemacht. In den letzten Jahren ist sein Bekanntheitsgrad gestiegen, da er die Gemeinsamkeiten zwischen Jazz und den folkloristischen Klängen Lateinamerikas erkundet hat. JazzTimes fasste seinen Einfluss folgendermaßen zusammen: "Über Simon wird weniger gesprochen als über viele andere wichtige Jazzpianisten aus der Karibik und Südamerika, aber er ist vielleicht der vollständigste kreative Künstler unter ihnen."

Scott Colley, der inzwischen viermal für den Grammy nominiert wurde, hat an über 200 Aufnahmen mitgewirkt, acht davon als Bandleader und Komponist. Er ist ein gefragter Sideman, der für seine Rolle in Gruppen bekannter Musiker wie John Scofield, Herbie Hancock, Chris Potter und vielen anderen ebenso bekannt ist wie für seine Mitwirkung an All-Star-Projekten wie "Still Dreaming" mit Joshua Redman, Ron Miles und Brian Blade und "Steel House" mit Edward Simon und Brian Blade.

Nasheet Waits lebt als Schlagzeuger und Musikpädagoge in New York. Sein musikalisches Talent wurde durch seinen Vater, den legendären Percussionisten Freddie Waits entdeckt und gefördert. Nach einem Studium der Psychology hat sich Nasheet ganz der Musik zugewandt und sich zu einem der kreativsten und besten Schlagzeuger der aktuellen Szene entwickelt. Die Liste seiner musikalischen PartnerInnen liest sich wie das Who-Is-Who des Jazz: Joshua Redman, Fred Hersch, Orrin Evans, Jackie McLean, Marc Turner, Gerri Allen, Sonny Rollins, Ella Fitzgerald und viele mehr.

A Grammy nominee, Potter has emerged as one of the leading musical figures of his generation. Critics and fans alike celebrate Potter for his musical down-to-earthness and vibrant sense of swing as well as his sheer creativity. Not for nothing is Chris regularly listed as an absolute authority on the modern tenor saxophone. The New Yorker calls Potter "a tenor player reminiscent of Joe Henderson at his best, putting his considerable technique in the service of music rather than spectacle." He has worked with virtually every notable jazz musician of our time, plays all over the world, and is also a sought-after and accomplished educator.

JazzTimes summed up his impact this way: “Simon is less talked about than many other important jazz pianists from the Caribbean and South America, but he may be the most complete creative artist among them.”

Scott Colley, a four time Grammy nominee, has performed on over 200 recordings, eight of those as bandleader and composer. He is a first-call sideman, as renowned for his role in groups led by well-known headliners—John Scofield, Herbie Hancock, Chris Potter, many others—as he is for being part of all-star projects like “Still Dreaming” with Joshua Redman, Ron Miles, and Brian Blade; and “Steel House” with Edward Simon and Brian Blade.

Nasheet Waits, drummer/music educator, is a New York native. His interest in playing the drums was encouraged by his father, legendary percussionist, Frederick Waits. After studying psychology, Nasheet turned his full attention to music and has become one of the most creative and best drummers on the current scene. The list of his musical partners reads like a Who's Who of jazz: Joshua Redman, Fred Hersch, Orrin Evans, Jackie McLean, Marc Turner, Gerri Allen, Sonny Rollins, Ella Fitzgerald and many more.
