Ein Programm für echte Jazzfans und alle, die es werden wollen: das Ensemble um Anna Margolina spielt an diesem Abend neben dem Great American Songbook auch Eigenkompositionen aus ihrem aktuellen Album. Jazz Radio Berlin schreibt: “In Anbetracht des Sounds der Band hätte man sich glatt in die Ära des Jazz träumen können: In eine New Yorker Clublounge, während die Leute tanzen und Cocktails trinken. Man wartete regelrecht darauf, dass sich Frank Sinatra mit einem Glas Whiskey in der Hand unters Publikum mischt und sich die Sängerin aufs Klavier legt.” In ihrem Debütalbum “One Endless Night” erzählt Anna die bewegende Geschichte ihrer Ausreise aus Minsk nach Berlin.

Anna Margolina gehört zu den erfolgreichsten Jazzmusikerinnen Berlins, die mit ihrer unverwechselbaren Stimme für begeistertes Publikum und ausverkaufte Clubs sorgt. Als Frontfrau der renommierten Andrej Hermlin Big Band tourte sie über Deutschlands Bühnen, in ihrem eigenen Programm widmet sie sich zeitgenössischen Klängen an der Grenze zu Folk und Pop. In 2023 veröffentlichte die Sängerin ihr Debütalbum “One Endless Night” (XJAZZ!Music), in dem sie über ihre turbulente Auswanderung von Minsk nach Berlin erzählt.

Arseny Rykov ist ein in Berlin lebender Pianist und Komponist. "Es gibt viele Einflüsse in meiner Musik, aber es gibt zwei Stile, die mich am meisten geprägt haben: ECM und klassische Musik, insbesondere Impressionisten und russische Komponisten", erklärt Arseny. Für ihn ist Musik nicht nur eine Möglichkeit, sich selbst auszudrücken, sondern auch eine Gelegenheit, Menschen zusammenzubringen und sie zum Nachdenken darüber anzuregen, was in dieser Epoche sozialer und moralischer Erschütterung in der Welt vor sich geht.

Paul Kleber wurde in Berlin geboren und begann schon als Kind Cello und Schlagzeug zu spielen, bevor er sich für sein Hauptinstrument, den Kontrabass entschied. Er studierte klassischen Kontrabass an der Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler" Berlin und Jazz, ebenfalls an der Universität der Künste Berlin. Er spielte und nahm mit Jazzanova, Sebastian Studnitzky, der britischen Band Fink, Micatone, Nylon, JazzIndeed und Lisa Bassenge auf.

Martin Krümmling ist ein junger Schlagzeuger und Komponist, der mit seiner offenen Klangästhetik und seinem vielschichtigen und unverwechselbaren Sound überzeugt. Er ist Halbfinalist der renommierten Monk Competition 2012. Er hat bereits mit Jazzgrößen wie Ed Partyka, Lage Lund, Jason Moran, Dan Tepfer, David Friedman, Maucha Adnet und Bill Dobbins gespielt und ist mit ihnen aufgetreten.

A program for real jazz fans and all those who want to become one: the ensemble will play songs from the Great American Songbook as well as original compositions from their current album. Jazzradio Berlin wrote: “Given the sound of the band, you could have easily dreamed yourself into the era of jazz: Into a New York club lounge, while people dance and drink cocktails. You were waiting for Frank Sinatra to mingle with the crowd holding a glass of whiskey and for the singer to lie down on the piano.” In her debut album “One Endless Night” Anna tells a personal story of her journey from Minsk to Berlin.

Anna Margolina is one of Berlin's successful and renowned jazz singers, whose unmistakable voice ensures enthusiastic audiences and sold-out clubs. As the lead vocalist of the well-known Andrej Hermlin Swing Big Band she has toured Germany's biggest concert halls, in her own program she devotes herself to contemporary sounds on the edge of folk and pop. In 2023 the singer released her debut album "One Endless Night" (XJAZZ!Music), where she tells the story of her emigration from Minsk to Berlin.

Arseny Rykov is a Berlin-based pianist and composer. “There are many influences in my music, but two styles that have shaped me the most: ECM and classical music, especially impressionists and Russian composers,” explains Arseny. For him, music is not only a way to express himself, but also an opportunity to bring people together and make them think about what is going on in the world in this era of social and moral upheaval.

Paul Kleber was born in Berlin and started playing cello and drums at a young age, before he chose his main instrument, the double bass. He studied classical bass at the Hochschule für Musik „Hanns Eisler“ Berlin and later jazz bass at the Universität der Künste Berlin. He played and recorded with Jazzanova, Sebastian Studnitzky, British band Fink, Micatone, Nylon, JazzIndeed and Lisa Bassenge.

Martin Krümmling is a young drummer and composer who convinces with his open sound aesthetics and his multilayered and distinctive sound. A semi-finalist in the prestigious 2012 Monk Competition, he has played and performed with jazz greats such as Ed Partyka, Lage Lund, Jason Moran, Dan Tepfer, David Friedman, Maucha Adnet and Bill Dobbins.
